EN        SYNOPSIS: Neta Elkayam and Amit Haï Cohen live in Jerusalem. Together, they created a band that revisits and reshapes their common Jewish-Moroccan musical heritage. In life as on stage, they grapple with this identity duality; an attempt to heal the wounds of exile carried by their parents. In your Eyes, I see my Country portrays their journey to Morocco. From one musical encounter to another, they reshape their perception of who they are and want to become, along with aspirations to consolidate bridges with the homeland of their ancestors.

CONCEPT: The poster highlights the idea of an inner quest: from the perspective of main character, Neta, portrayed as a singer, and from the perspective of Amit, portrayed as a filmmaker documenting the replay of their parents departure. By selecting that performative shot, our goal is to open a door on the role of representation in unearthing untold histories.

FR       SYNOPSIS: Neta Elkayam et Amit Haï Cohen, deux artistes, vivent à Jérusalem. Ils ont un groupe où ils se réapproprient et revisitent leur héritage judéo-marocain. A la scène comme dans la vie, ils explorent cette dualité identitaire, comme pour réparer les blessures de l’exil vécues par leurs parents. Dans tes Yeux, Je vois mon Pays les suit durant un voyage au Maroc, jalonné de rencontres musicales, qui va transformer leur perception de qui ils sont et de ce qu’ils veulent devenir. Se dessine alors le rêve de recréer des ponts avec le pays de leurs ancêtres.

CONCEPT: L’affiche met en évidence l’idée d’une quête intérieure: du point de vue du personnage principal, Neta, représentée dans son rôle de chanteuse, et du point de vue d’Amit; les deux personnages rejouant le départ de leurs parents. En sélectionnant ce plan performatif, notre objectif est d’ouvrir une porte sur le rôle de la représentation dans la narration d’histoires encores tues.
